What is the Wastewater Warehouse?

The Wastewater Warehouse is an online interface populated with relevant analytics to support decision-making in Western New York’s stormwater management ecosystem.

Stormwater management in Buffalo-Niagara involves 42 local governments (county, city, town, village) and 42 different sewer systems or districts. Each entity manages wastewater infrastructure, reports discharges made into area waterbodies, and is responsible for ensuring the maintenance of sustainable water supplies.

The Warehouse harmonizes infrastructure, discharge, and workforce data, making it possible to combine multiple datasets from different sources for use in larger scale analyses.
